Public beta on the Base Sepolia test network. Payments use test USDC with no real value: do not send real funds. The escrow contract has not had its external security audit yet, and the terms are drafts pending legal review. What the beta means

OpenVPT

01 · Pricing

Pricing: one fee, one side. 5% of what the seller receives.

Buyers pay the listed price and nothing on top. Sellers pay a 5% platform fee only on the part of the payment they actually receive. Refunds are free, and listing is free.

02 · What you pay

Fees at a glance

  • Sellers

    5%

    Only on what you receive

The fee comes out of the seller share at settlement, never out of the buyer's payment. If a dispute ruling gives you only part of the payment, the fee shrinks in the same proportion. The fee is rounded down to the smallest USDC unit.

  • Buyers

    0

    No platform fee on top

You pay exactly the listed price in USDC. It stays locked in escrow until the order settles: you confirm, the inspection window ends, a dispute is ruled, or an automatic dispute outcome is signed by the party it favours.

  • Refunds

    0

    No fee on a refund

A full refund returns the entire payment to the buyer. The platform takes nothing.

  • Network gas

    ETH

Paid to the network, not to us

Approving and funding the escrow are transactions on Base (the Base Sepolia test network during the public beta), paid in ETH from the buyer's wallet. The cost is usually small and varies with network load. The platform submits the final settlement transaction.

  • Listing

    0

    Free to list

Creating a listing costs nothing. You only pay the fee when an order settles in your favour.

  • Fixed at checkout

The fee is locked into the escrow

Each order's fee is part of the signed escrow order, so it cannot change after the buyer pays. Money leaves the escrow only when 2 of the 3 keys (buyer, seller, platform) sign the same split.
